Perhaps a warning to the gods

Could there not have been aliens that got stranded on this place. And sent as a warning of the types of dangers. Like a SOS. The spider, tarantula being dangerous for example and maybe the monkey not so dangerous.

Maybe the other lines surrounding are symbols that show what is dangerous and what is not. The person waving was hailing anything from above, and the person who is dying perhaps after having been left for so long and the ghost rising from him. Or maybe not.
