It is a lot of fun to visit some of the islands made from the tortora reed. The Uros Islands are among Peru’s top tourist attractions. You can visit Taquile island too, it is more populated and during your visit, you will find very nice handcraft available. All these coupled with incredible scenery and sailing for hours on the lake. Puno is a simple town in southeastern Peru, bordered by Bolivia on the east. There are a few churches, many religious festivals, hotels, restaurants and agencies.

Wether you want one of the soft adventure Titicaca Tours or an advanced one, you will find various quality agencies operating in Peru, however they are a bit expensive.

Before you book your Lake Titicaca travel, make sure you know all the details, ask questions and read the small print.

Tours to the Uros islands start early morning and include transport from your hotel to the port, entrance fee and transfer from the port back to your hotel. Do not miss the Taquile island (see the many pre-Inca and Inca ruins and Inca terraces) and Amantani island (beautiful and peaceful).

Peru is a relatively inexpensive place to travel in and you may be able to get it cheaper on your own.
