Weather of Machu Picchu
by Niki Skeete
During daytime, temperatures for the dry season can reach 12 degree Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius at night. Since the location is exposed due to its position in the mountains, the sun can beat down during the hottest of the dry month of the year. Overall, the climate in Machu Picchu is usually damp, warm, but mild. Tourists often choose to visit Machu Picchu during the dry season, which is also the high season and these time are usually during July to August. However, for those tourists who want to avoid large crowds of visitors, it is ideal to travel to Machu Picchu from April to June or go there early in October.
